Do I need website Care Plan services?
Having a website is great and almost mandatory in this day and age, it gives potential customers insight into your business, where you are, when you’re open and of course what you sell. But its only useful if people can actually find it!
There is so much competition out there you need to be sure your website ranks well for your target customers. There are many elements to making this happen but one of the most important is ensuring its kept up to date, and not just from the technology its built with, the content must be recent.
If your latest news posting is from a year ago people may think you’ve not been keeping up with the latest developments and the search engines, such as Google, will almost certainly rank your competitors website higher if their news is more recent than yours.
We know it takes time to publish updates to your website, you may only access it once or twice a year and its often a pain trying to find the username and password your website developer emailed you, and thats where we can help.
Send us your update and we’ll do it for you, but that’s not all, we can include managed website hosting, take regular website backups, provide web design services or help with Search Engine Optimisation to get your website above your competitors.
What does it cost?
We have two options:
1. Monthly website maintenance packages
This option provides website hosting, website backups and WordPress Core & Plugin updates from £80 per month. More features such as support time, 24/7 monitoring and SSL certificates are also available.
A monthly care plan is a perfect option to ensure your website system is kept up to date, helping to keep it as secure as possible from bugs that may be a way in for hackers. Including support time each month to help with content updates will help free up your time as well as ensure your site remains fresh and current.
2. Ad-hoc / Pay As You Go
This works well for many of our customers giving you the option to pay an hourly rate of £55 for any required system updates, content changes, search engine optimisation or any other type of changes/fixes required on your website as and when you need.
There is a minimum one hour charge of £55 for any type of update, however, we will accrue the time spent on your account over a calendar month which means if you use less than an hour you will be charged the full £55 but anytime over the hour is charged by the minute, for example an extra 30 minutes would cost you £27.50, we do not continue to round up for each change.
Website Care Plan FAQ
We’ve answered some common WordPress support questions below.
Our WordPress Care Plans are very straightforward, but we’ve answered some common WordPress support questions below.
If you can’t find an answer here, contact us using the form at the top of this page. Alternatively, if you have a support requirement, submit a support ticket.
Do you cover websites not built on WordPress?
No. We only support sites build on the WordPress platform – we can’t be experts at everything!
Do you provide support for bespoke/custom built WordPress sites?
That all depends very much on the level of customisation within the site. If it’s been developed using non-standard WordPress stuff, then we may not be able to support it.
Does your support cover hosting/server issues?
If we host your website, yes. If we don’t, we can take a look at any issues as part of your support time. This also covers DNS and email issues too – they are often quite technical, so we can help with those.
I have a load of work that needs doing on my site – will this be covered?
Care plans allow a certain amount of time per month for us to work on the site. If the task is not urgent, it can be spread across your plan. If the task is urgent, let us know so we can get your plans actioned.
I am looking for support because my site is broken – can you fix it?
We can fix it before you take out a support plan. We have WordPress Fix products in our shop. Once fixed, we can then talk about ongoing support.
